Numerous women form Eastern and Central took part in this international meeting, organized locally by the the Central Council of the Bulgarian Trade Unions:

• from Bulgaria: Penka Donunenkova, representative of the Central Council of Bulgarian Trade Unions, Elena Lagadinova, member of the State Council of Bulgaria and chair of the Committee of Bulgarian Women, Marusja Todorova, chair of Central Committee of Light Industry Trade Union, Prof. Zdravka Kemileva, chair of the Central Committee of Health Workers Trade Union, Naida Mancheva, weaver at 8th of March Factory, twice Hero of Socialist Labour, member of Commission for the Problems of Working Women at the Central Council of Bulgarian Trade Unions, and People’s Representative, and Stanka Alexandrova, head of Women’s Committee of the Central Council of Bulgarian Trade Unions;
• from Czechoslovakia: Drahomíra Hanzalová, secretary of the Central Council of the Revolutionary Trade Union Movement, Jitka Štepánková, member of the Commission for Women’s Work, trade union committee of the city of Prague, and Jarmila Kuchazanovaja, member of the Commission for Women’s Work, district committee of the trade union of the city of Ostrava;
• from Hungary: Mária Duschek, secretary the National Council of Trade Unions, Dr. Júlia Turgonyi, sociologist, member of the Commission for Women’s Work of the National Council of Trade Unions, and Anna Dusyak, employee of International Department of the National Council of Trade Unions;
• from Poland: Zofia Bazanowska, secretary of Working Women’s Commission at the Central Council of the Trade Unions, and Irena Sroczyńska, secretary of the Central Council of the Trade Unions;
• from Romania: Teodora Sersun, member of Presidium of the General Union of Trade Unions, Fani Strujan, employee of International Department of the General Union of Trade Unions, and Maria Gligor, deputy chair of the General Union of Trade Unions and chair of the Commission for Women’s Work of the General Union of Trade Unions of the City of Iași (Jassy).
