Symposium "Woman and Work, Work and Motherhood"

Numerous women from Central and Eastern Europe participated in this symposium, which was organized by the National Council of Trade Unions (Hungary):
- from Bulgaria: Penka Donunenkova, representative of the Central Council of Bulgarian Trade Unions, Dimitrina Spasova, Head of women’s department of newspaper Labour (Trud), and Stanka Alexandrova, head of Women’s Committee of the Central Council of Bulgarian Trade Unions;
- from Czechoslovakia: Drahomíra Hanzalová, secretary of the Central Council of the Revolutionary Trade Union Movement, and Marta Zemaníková, employee of the Organization Department of the Central Council of the Revolutionary Trade Union Movement;
- from Hungary: Margit Cerván, Chair of Women’s Committee of the National Council of Trade Unions, Éva Baranyai (later Bíró), General Secretary of Textile Workers’ Trade Union, Kálmánné Kovács, secretary of regional trade union council of Borsod district, Lajosné Farkas, secretary of Metalworkers’ Trade Union, Mária Duschek, secretary the National Council of Trade Unions;
- from Poland: Irena Likowska, secretary of trade union council of Poznań, and Irena Sroczyńska, secretary of the Central Council of the Trade Unions;
- from Romania: Teodora Sersun, member of Presidium of the General Union of Trade Unions, Elena Floares, chair of trade union committee of the furniture textile combinate, and Fani Strujan, employee of International Department of the General Union of Trade Unions;
- from Yugoslavia: Ljubica Andrejevska, member of Presidium of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Yugoslavia, and Zorica Antonijević, adviser at the Confederation of Trade Unions of Yugoslavia.
